Athlavia is paid by families. Athlete information is not sold to universities, and there is no coach-facing athlete database in this version of the product.

What is stored about an athlete:

• Basketball profile — positions, height, current team, competition, awards, representative honours.
• Season statistics, stored season by season, each labelled with its source and never presented as independently verified when it is not.
• Academic profile — education system, school, subjects, predicted and completed grades, English proficiency, degree interests.
• Financial profile — the maximum the family can contribute per year, and which kinds of aid are acceptable.
• Preferences — country, degree concept, cost, playing time, climate, campus setting, and how much each matters.
• Media links, upcoming fixtures, and the correspondence sent to and received from university coaches.

What is deliberately not stored, anywhere in the schema:

• Home address.
• Date of birth. Whether an athlete is under 18 is recorded as a yes or no, because that is the only part the product needs.
• Live or precise location.
• Medical, injury or health information.

The public profile a coach opens is built from an explicit allow-list of fields. The columns above are not selected by that query, so they cannot reach a coach through a mistake in how a page is written.

High-school recruiting involves under-18 athletes, so the defaults are set for them rather than added afterwards. The UK ICO’s Age Appropriate Design Code expects high privacy by default, data minimisation, and particular care around sharing and profiling children’s data.

• An under-18 account is guardian-linked. The athlete can build her own profile; she cannot approve the first message to a coach. That approval belongs to a parent or guardian, and it is enforced in the code rather than in the interface.
• Recruiting profiles are private by default. They open only for someone holding the link that was sent to them, and they are marked noindex so search engines do not list them.
• Making a profile public is a deliberate act, and for an under-18 athlete only a guardian can do it.
• Consent is recorded per athlete and per purpose, and can be withdrawn. Withdrawal is recorded as a timestamp rather than a deletion, so the record of what was permitted at the time survives.
• Engagement is attributed to a link, never to a person. The product says a profile was opened through the link sent to a named coach, because links are forwarded within coaching staffs and claiming otherwise would be a false statement about a real person.

There is no route in this product that contacts every coach in a country. A programme enters the outreach list only after a human approves it. Each draft is read before it is sent, and it is sent from the family’s own mailbox rather than a bulk sending domain.

• A sequence is at most an introduction and two follow-ups. Any reply cancels everything still queued.
• A coach who says they are not interested, or asks not to be contacted, enters a permanent suppression list that is checked before every send.
• A contact whose details have changed or disappeared from a staff page is flagged for review rather than used.

Commercial email rules differ by jurisdiction — CAN-SPAM in the United States, CASL in Canada, PECR and UK GDPR in the United Kingdom. Athlete-to-coach recruiting correspondence is a different activity from marketing this software, and the two are kept separate. Both need specific legal review before launch.

Every account can export its complete data as a file and delete the account outright, from within the product under Settings. Deletion removes the athlete record and everything attached to it.

Athlavia is not affiliated with the NCAA, the NAIA or U SPORTS, and it does not issue eligibility determinations. The eligibility checklist in the product is a readiness aid; certification decisions are made by the NCAA Eligibility Center, the NAIA and individual institutions.

No scholarship outcome is promised. The product improves the quality of the list a family contacts and the quality of that contact. What happens next depends on the athlete.

University names and conference affiliations shown in the product are real. Scores, cost figures, roster details and coach names in the demonstration data are illustrative, are recorded as such, and are not sourced from the institutions shown.
